STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
The purpose of the youth programs at Temple Israel interlinks the home, school and
Synagogue. Our Synagogue youth activities offer a unique opportunity to stimulate
educational, spiritual growth and social development within a Judaic environment. The
programming is designed to offer the individual the chance to promote self-identity
within an ever-changing world and to express oneself in a fun and safe atmosphere.
The purpose of the total educational program, formal and informal, builds a foundation
for young Jews to strengthen their affiliation and identification. Moreover, the values
taught in the school are implemented in real life situations.
Each year we will have an exciting and ambitious program of religious, social, athletic,
recreational, and cultural activities for our young people. We invite you and your
Temple Israel friends to join with our current group of over 125 members and take
advantage of all we have to offer. By taking an active role, our youth program will be
the most enjoyable period of your child’s early years.
We are looking forward to working with you and your families.
